Who We Are
Engrained with the older adult in mind, Nercher Older Adult Community Resource, 501 (c)(3) defies stereotypes. We focus on facilitating educational development by bringing awareness to older adult topics through our "Learning Never End" program.
"Learning Never End" workshops engage seniors with ongoing support by facilitating interactive activities and conversational topics that address various aging challenges.
Nercher is designed to empower and enlighten community residents and their caregivers on local resources while working with agencies, staff members, and volunteers to provide a safe and cultivating learning environment.

Why we Serve
There are over 282,531 adults in the state of Tennessee, age 65 and older. One myth about aging is that senility is an irreversible mental and physical deterioration associated with late adulthood. The fact is that more senior adults’ exhibit no signs of cognitive decline. Listening skills are the main factors for active engagement and communication with aging adults.
Nercher Older Adult Community Resource develops and hosts a series of discussions to engage seniors through facilitated activities. Seniors gain stability to address challenging issues and knowledge of local community resources.
